Spring Garden week is a week long Challenge with prompts to make springy illustrations of various gardens.
Taking on a “day job” means less time for your art and challenges are a great way to stay in touch with your craft in between projects.
Flower Garden illustration
For those who may not have access to a piece of land but still enjoy plants. During my study I was living in the big bad city. So my flatmate and myself only had access to a narrow balcony. Needless to say, it was filled with flowers every spring.

Cottage Garden
A cute little stone house. A rocky wall slightly crumbling down. wisteria and grape vine crawling up, and a cozy patch of veggies.

Mushroom Garden
I wouldn’t recommend picking the mushrooms from a faery circle. You may make someone mad…

Haunted Garden
Look at them!? How could you steal their hard work!?
All these illustrations were sketched out with color pencils. One stay in sketch form with ink outline and quick water color highlights. The others were transferred on a water color paper, painted and touched up with color pencils.
